Pin Collective: Pinterest Hops Aboard The Influencer Marketing Train
Last month, Pinterest introduced the Pin Collective-- a platform that connects brands with expert Pinterest content creators. Creators are hand-selected by the Pinterest team, and range from publishers and production shops to independent creators from around the globe. Pinterest intends for the Pin Collective to help marketers optimize their content for the platform, which means creating pins that are aesthetic, inspiring, and useful. Since Pinterest is not exactly a social network, Pinterest influencer marketing takes the emphasis off of influencers themselves (which we generally see on Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, and Snapchat) and places the spotlight almost entirely on engaging content itself.
