Instagram Tests Photo Albums

Instagram Tests Photo Albums

First Instagram introduced stories and disappearing DMs, then comment “likes” and replies. Now?

Photo albums.

Instagram is testing out a new version of the app, available to select Android users at the moment, that enables you to share more than one photo in a post. Currently the feature is not even fully functional for those with this version of the app, but when it does become functional, here’s how it will work: you can select up to 10 photos from your gallery, edit each one individually within the app, then upload the collection as an album to your timeline. Your followers would see the album and then be able to swipe through to view and like photos.

Instagram has not released an official announcement regarding albums, likely because the feature is still being developed and tested.

Droid-Life caught wind of this budding feature first. Read more here.
